Reablement HomeCare Services

How do we support people with reablement at home?

Reablement is a type of care that helps you relearn how to do daily activities, like cooking meals and washing.  Our reablement services are usually needed after someone has had a long stay in a hospital or recovering from a debilitating operation such as a hip or knee operation. Most people who receive this type of care do so for around 1 to 6 weeks, it will depend on how soon you are able to manage at home independently.

Some examples of reablement include: supporting an individual when getting dressed, showering or bathing, preparing meals, moving around their house, participating in social activities, and managing their medication.
