Home Care Services for People with Parkinson's Disease

How can we support people with Parkinson's Disease to live safely at home?

Our team is well-experienced, trained, and skilled in supporting people to live at home with Parkinson's disease. We work closely with our local Parkinson's nurses to ensure we are delivering effective care.

  • We administer medication to ensure dopamine levels are adequately balanced and maintained to help reduce effects such as rigidity and tremors. It's crucial with Parkinson's that medication is taken at the prescribed/advised time intervals.
  • We manage stock control to ensure there is always enough medication available at the times needed.
  • We can support you with personal care such as washing and dressing.
  • Support with exercises by the physio to help maintain muscle strength and agility.
  • Refer to any other professionals if needed such as occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and more.
  • Support with social activities and social interactions to help reduce the effects of anxiety.
  • Support with mobilising, using mobility aids/ hoists and techniques to aid "freezing."
  • Support with the prevention of falls by ensuring the home is free from clutter and fall hazards where possible or preferred.
